how to add amazon affiliates in the menu

hi,
I am trying to add in the amazon affiliate links in the menu as showcased the wordpress support. however, when i add the custom link in the menu it doesn’t show any links and it removes the social menu completely. need help on this urgently.

Would you be able to share the link that you attempted to add to your custom menu in your next reply? Can you also confirm that you were following the below guidance to add a link to your custom menu?

thank you for your reply.
I confirm that i was following the mentioned instructions in the link. however the link is missing instruction about which menu to choose primary vs secondary vs new created and where it should be displayed. if i choose primary menu it removes my main menu and if social menu it removes social links.

Hi Richie,
You’ll need to select the custom menu that you’ve set as your site’s primary menu. In your case, that menu is titled Primary. After you’ve select Primary, click on the Add Items button to add your custom link to it. The menu’s existing items shouldn’t disappear when you click on the Add Items button.
