  Also are you referring to a free hosted WordPress.com blog? Or are you referring to a WordPress.org install and posting to the wrong support forum, rather than posting to http://wordpress.org/support/ ? This support forum you have posted to is only for free hosted WordPress.com blogs. For clarity read > WordPress.com vs WordPress.org

  My question was for my free blog with a custom URL.Do I have to do an email optin form only on a self hosted blog.

  Unless Aweber or Mail Chimp has a plain HTML option for their code (no form code, iframe or javascript) then you are not going to be able to use them here at wordpress.com. It could be that you can get some HTML link code from them that will allow people who click on the link to be transported to a signup form at Aweber or Mail Chimp.

  It’s still a WordPress.com blog and not exempt from any terms or conditions, including the security conditions on code.
