how to add an embed code to a widget

  I’m trying to add a badge to my sidebar. An embed code has been provided for it. When I use the text widget, though, the image on the badge does not appear. Is there another widget I should be using?

  If their code is using JavaScript or Flash, we can’t allow it for security and stability reasons.

  Instead, if they offer a simple image and link, I recommend using an Image widget.
