    Tags and categories can only be assigned to posts, not to pages. Pages are static and sit outside the blog structure.

    my intention is the some specific posts i want to published should appear in that new page only

    Posts cannot be assigned to pages that you create. There is only one dynamically updating post page, and that is the main blog page.

    If you categorize your posts, then clicking on a particular category name in the categories widget will bring up a list of just the posts in that category. In this case, if you assigned the posts to an “earn money” category, then clicking on that category in the sidebar widget would bring up only the posts assigned to the “earn money” category.

    You might want to take a look at this link, and specifically the section called “affiliate marketing blogs” in the second set of bullet points as get rich quick, earn money from home, become a millionaire in ten days, types of blogs are not allowed here and get deleted or suspended all the time.

    And here are some examples of blogs that are banned from WordPress.com…

    …get-rich-quick schemes (”Make six figures from home!!”, “20 easy steps to top profits!!”, etc). This includes multi-level marketing (MLM) blogs and pyramid schemes.

    Hi there TheSacredPath (aka Yoda)

    I was searching for help on this kind of question and stumbled upon your answer above. Can I ask a follow up?

    I have created 3 category pages that I want to organize past posts under – they are “kids” “travel” and “callings” that you will see on the right hand side of my blog.

    Here’s the question: I can’t figure out how to link the posts I have categorized under these topics to the destination page I want them to show up on.

    Your advice would be much appreciated!

    Thanks!

    WordPress will automatically create category pages. My suggestion would be to link your images in your sidebar to the relevant categories. As an example, this is the categories page link for “kids”: http://thegypsymama.wordpress.com/category/kids/

    Do that with the various images/categories and replace “kids” with the other category names for the other image links.

    Ok, thanks. Yes, I had created the wordpress category pages for kids, travel and callings. However, when you click on them they are blank. What I can’t figure out is how to populate them with the relevant posts.

    No, you have created blank static pages. You cannot display posts on static pages that you create. Static pages sit outside the blog structure.

    Open the text widget that has the “kids” image in it and replace the code for the “kids” image with the code below:

    <a href="http://thegypsymama.wordpress.com/category/kids/">
    <img src="http://i475.photobucket.com/albums/rr112/lisajosbakerboys/Category_kids.jpg"/>
    </a>

    You are the Master of quick fix! Thanks so much for pointing out the obvious to me – I knew there was something simple I was missing! So it was the word “category” I needed to insert in the place of the “parent” page title. Really, thanks a TON! It’s working beautifully now! YAY
