  is there a way to add color selector to the theme option page ?

  no problem I am sure you will do it in the future, but I guess no javascript is allowed in options page , right ?

  because I was trying to add some jquery color pickers but it did not work

  No javascript is allowed at WordPress.com period. Same with Flash. You can embed a few pre-approved formats like YouTube, etc, but not generic Flash or javascript, for security reasons.
