How to add custom icons for Social Icons widget?
-
Hello!
I have a Social Icons widget in the footer area of my blog and I want to include link to my Blogger and Fandom blogs. I guess since they’re not exactly social media their official icon isn’t listed and so I get ‘chain’ icon instead.
But I’m wondering if it’s possible to add custom icons for them? So I and visitors can differentiate them.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
But I’m wondering if it’s possible to add custom icons for them? So I and visitors can differentiate them.
Not for this widget, but you’d be welcome to use an HTML widget to set up whatever set of icons you’d like. If you’ll upload a set of images you like, we’ll send you some sample HTML that you can modify and add to a widget.

I see… that can’t be helped. Is it fine to just follow the instructions here https://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/social-media-icons-widget/#available-icons
or do you have other recommendations to set up the custom icons?

If you don’t want to use the available icons, the workaround would be what @supernovia mentioned, setting those up via HTML widget or upgrading to plan Business and using a plugin.
