How to add customizeable category page?

  I was under the impression that customizing category pages was not possible.

  However, when looking at this site (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/category/teams/afc/miami-dolphins/) it appears that they have been able to add an RSS feed of those category specific posts, as well as additional information on the same page.

  I am curious how this is possible? I thought RSS feeds were unable to be added to pages?

  Any information you can provide in this regard would be greatly appreciated.

  That site is a VIP user, which allows them to do more customization. If you want to show a RSS Feed, you can embed the RSS Widget in your sidebar.

  There are no restrictions if you setup a self-hosted WordPress.org blog instead of a WordPress.com blog, but there are some added responsibilities. We have hosting recommendations at the following link if you are interested.
