How to add embed yt vids in a widget?

  For the past couple days I’ve been wanting to add a video from youtube onto a widget on my site, but every time I do it just comes out in brackets and a link in it. What am I supposed to do to get the embed link to work in a widget?

  Unfortunately you can’t add videos to a text widget with out in turning into a link.

  So there’s no way to add a video in a widget?

  Not at this point the text widget will strip the embed code.
