How to Add Featured Image on Post Page ??

My Homepage shows Thumbnails of Featured image but on Post page no Image is being shown which i want to change , and add Featured image on Post page too .
I use ‘Broadsheet’ theme how can i use CSS to bring Featured Image on Post page too ?? I dont know CSS .
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I know how to add Featured Image from Editor but its not showing up above post content . It only shows up on Homepage list of posts .
Please help .

They specific features of your theme Broadsheet are found here https://wordpress.com/theme/broadsheet
All featured Images are generated from the same initial image so make sure to keep the focus of the image in the center as the surrounding content may be cropped.

Featured Content Slider
The Homepage Image Slider is generated from a category specified in the Customizer options (in the Theme section). -
I am not talking about Homepage slider . I want the Featured Image added in the post to show above post content on Post page . Right now it only shows up on the Homepage list of recent posts . I know where to add image in post its just that the image is not showing up on Post page . May be my theme is not supporting that feature can i change it using CSS ?

If you have the Premium or Business upgrade http://wordpress.com/plans and use Custom CSS, you can opt to apply custom CSS to a WordPress.com theme.

Ok i found a temporary solution..now i am adding image 2 times , as featured image and also in content of post so it shows up above content as well . Some themes automatically show featured post image on post content in post page but looks like my theme is not supporting it . If anyone can help me change this using CSS it would be great help .

Hi! I am adding a profile page and am using the child grid page template (multiple people in the company; each one has an individual page). The problem is, if I set it as the featured image, then their face is huge.
What angle should I crop my picutre in order to not look scary as the featured image?

Hi @thedefenstar, Broadsheet does not show the featured images on the single post pages by design, and that is not something that can be added with CSS. Your solution of adding the featured image to the content as well, is the only solution on this theme.

Ok no problem . I am adding the image in content now . Another issue is the featured image i add wont show up when i share the post . When i open Edit post i cant see it anywhere so i have to add it again . In Every post i am publishing i am saving the featured image atleast 2 times which is frustrating . Whenever i add the image for the first time it will show in homepage list but will be gone when i share the post . To make it visible in shared posts i have to add it 2nd time . In some cases 3 times as well . Can anyone help ? This seems like an issue with the theme itself .

Hi, I’ve opened several of your posts in the editor and see the featured image set and the like image in the content.
Since the featured image doesn’t actually get generated on a single post page, it isn’t there for sharing, but in most instances, FB and the like will pull the first image from the content to accompany the share. Where are you not seeing images when you share?

Sir when i Write a new post and set featured image using ‘Set Featured Image’ field in Post settings on right side it shows up above the Title section in Editor . But when i publish the post and then Share it on facebook it does not get picked up . Then when i click ‘Edit the post’ to see the issue i would not be able to see the Featured image added . But i remember i had added it using ‘ Featured image’ field and saw it above title before publishing the post . Then i had to add it again and only then it gets picked up in Sharing window . Then when i click ‘Edit Post ‘ again i can see it above the Title section . So in short , it does not get picked up when i add it 1st time . I have to go in Editor again to add it . Its kinda frustrating and time consuming . I face this issue with most of my posts . Today even the sharing tool picked up the image but when i saw my FB page no posts had images attached !! So i had to scrap it using Facebook Sharing Debugger tool , deleted old posts and posted all posts again ..only then i was able to see the images .

Hi, hmmm, this is strange. I’ve not been able to reproduce this on my test site with Broadsheet.
If you are adding the posts under My Sites > Blog Posts > Add, can you try directly from the WP Admin dashboard and see if it does the same thing there? Here is a direct link to the New Posts page in your WP Admin.
