How to add featured image to the page that is used for static page?

  Hi there, sorry if my question is to shallow but i am new to wordpress and i’ve been exploring the online world for hours and couldn’t seems to find the solution.

  So this is as simple as i want to put the featured image (the one that usually exist before the all the contents of the website) to the page that i am using as a static page.

  So basically i want to put a picture in my “homepage”, page. I did it, the featured image WAS there. But when i set the “homapage” as the frontpage (using the setting > reading > frontpage display > static page >i chose my “homapage” page), the featured image is gone.

  So how do make it to appear again?
  My question is as simple as that.

  Please help me.

  yeah sure, i don’t know why is deleted. im still building the site so its still basically empty
