How to add Front Page Widget

Hello .. I’m new to WordPress and don’t have much experience, so i’m following the guide in building up my blog. I’m trying to add a Front Page Widget, but i’m facing some problems as my options doesn’t look like the guide.
The guide says that after I choose the Text Widget, the new menu must have the below:
    Main Sidebar
    Second Footer Widget Area
    Third Footer Widget Area
    First Front Page Widget Area
    Second Front Page Widget Area
    Third Front Page Widget Area

And in order to copy the demo front page, I need to have the last three of the above, which I miss and don’t have.

Any ideas on how to amend this?

    Thankss

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi @travelsofdee!

The three Front Page Widget Areas only appear when the Front Page Template is active :)

Under My Site > Pages, edit your site’s front page.

Use the Page Attributes menu to set the page to the Front Page Template.

Now you should see those widget areas in your Customizer – but only when you’re viewing a page that uses them :)
