How to add "Google Analytics" tracking-code to my blog? I' not an expert!!
-
Hi everyone,
once again I need your help! I want to add a short Google Analytics tracking code to my website – but I didn’t find the menu or option where I can add it to my header/footer or start page.
I’m getting crazy…. :-)
Can you give me a step by step (or klick by klick) information where I can add this code in my dashboard or wherever? I don’t have FTP access to my blog (dont’t know how) and I don’t have any “Client” installed.
I want to do implement this code with my WP-Dashboard and I want to analyse the data in my Google Analytics website at google.
Thans for your help!!
regards

What are trying to do cannot be done on any free hosted WordPress.com blog regardless of the theme in use.
There is no upgrade aside from your blog being accepted into VIP hosting http://vip.wordpress.com/our-services/ that allows you to run Google Analytics.
This is a multi-user blogging platform. Our blogs share a common architecture. We bloggers cannot access metadata on free hosted WordPress.com blogs and install any tracking code, we have no FTP access and we cannot install plugins. Stats >
Note we cannot install Google Analytics.

anything at all stated here http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ FTP access, and plugins are available only for VIP bloggers http://vip.wordpress.com/our-services/ or for those with WordPress.ORG installs. -
You don’t have to be an expert, because adding Google Analytics to a WordPress.com blog is not possible, so you can just give up on the idea.
