Adding more information: When checking the blog against http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/richsnippets?url=creative-destruction.me&html= , the following warnings appear:
* Page does not contain authorship markup.
* Page does not contain publisher markup.and further down, for the individual posts:
* Warning: Missing required field “updated”.
* Warning: Missing required hCard “author”.I would like all of these errors to go away :-) It should be possible to add this information globally for the whole blog or per author.
I have added the Google+ profile to the Gravatar services. Not sure how I should wait before this is picked up?

Hi!
Thanks for the pointer. Adding the author information worked and solved the problem, great!
and further down, for the individual posts:
* Warning: Missing required field “updated”.
* Warning: Missing required hCard “author”.This problem remains, though. Is there a way to add the updated and author fields?
All the best,
Mirko.

Glad to hear it.

Unfortunately it’s not possible at this time. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Considering that attribution is a very important aspect of blogging, I think WordPress.com should fix this soon. One main reason for using a professional blogging service is that it handles such issues for me. It would be great if these tags could simply be added by WordPress.com by default. Thanks!
