Such scripts are not permitted on WordPress.com for security purposes.

Check my text widget (click on my name, scroll a little and look for translation box on the right hand side). This is a work around to do the same thing.

I’d like to what you have done on your translator widget on your blog and make a similar translation widget for my blog by following your example.I will give you credit and a link back if you don’t mind.

dlager, you can email me through my About section, I have an email address there, I can forward you the code which you can insert in your Text widget replacing my links with your blog links. You will just need to setup Pipes account (if you have Yahoo account already then that would do).

As a starter, here’s how I am getting the links from Google Translate for my blog to various different languages:
http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&langpair=en|nl&u=http://ismailimail.wordpress.com/Above translate from English to Dutch. If you replace my blog name with yours and copy/paste the above link in your browser’s address bar, then you should be able to see the translated page of your blog into Dutch.
Here’s one for English to German
http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&langpair=en|de&u=http://yourblogname.wordpress.com/Here’s one for English to Greek

Here is how you can get above links for all the other languages.
Go to http://translate.google.com
Type your blog address in Translate a Web page
Select English >> other language, click Translate.
Look at the very last two characters in your browser’s address bar.
For example, if you selected English >> Japanese, then the last two characters are ja. And that’s the keyword.
Every time you translate your blog into different language, Google will only be replacing the two character keywords depending on the language.
Now you may notice that the URL Google is providing (in your browser’s address bar) is slightly different than what I have provided above. I have only cleaned it up for clarity. From my code above, if you replace de (next to en|, with ja, as in
...?hl=en&langpair=en|ja&u=....and by keeping everything else as is…
then you will get your blog translated into Japanese.
Consequently, you can find all these two character language codes by manually and individually translating your blog into different languages.

If you want to provide RSS links for your translated blog, then the easiest way is to just go to my Pipes and you can copy my Pipes as yours and replace my blog links with your blog links.
Here’s all my pipes in open.

The very first pipe is translating English into Russian. So move over your mouse and select View Source. Then do Save a copy (right hand side top).
Now, you can replace my blog’s RSS links with yours (in Fetch Feed box). You can even delete extra links if you want as I have plugged in two blogs into one. And after saving the pipe when you Run it, you should see a translated RSS feed of your own.
You can then grab the RSS feed of this Pipe and plug it into the Text Widget.
I have found Yahoo Pipes translation to be not as reliable as Google (though these two are different services altogether). Various times, the Yahoo Pipes times out while translating, but it does work occasionally.

I keep a text file full of copy and paste stuff for here in the forums, and I added the link to it so I’ll always have it.
