How to add google verification meta tag in my blog?

  How to add site verification to my site?
  I just read the wordpress article which said go to tools—> available tools and you will be here in google webmaster verification section.
  It does not happen in my case. I do not find any importer that will help me find webmaster verification section.

  I suppose you’re following the tutorial here? http://en.support.wordpress.com/webmaster-tools/#google-webmaster-tools

  I just checked on my site and I could find the Google Webmaster Tools field. Can you re-check?
