How to add icons in Footer?

  Hi,

  I need some help from pros, i want to add some icons in footer of my website. Can someone please guide me the procedure that how i can add icons into the footer. The icons are basically contact icons and i will refer those icons onto the contact pages. Can i do it via html or do i have to insert picture based icons?

  Any help would be highly appreciated. Looking forward to it.
