How to add images to front page of (free) Cubic theme

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi,
I just changed my blog to the free Cubic theme.
On the demo, it shows pictures being put on the squares, however, I cannot seem to find a way to do that myself.
In my customisation page there is only ONE image in the top left hand corner.
Why can’t WP be more Wysiwyg? I can’t for the life of me see how I can import more images into the format that looked so nice – & easy – in the Themes page.
Any advice very much appreciated :)
    J.

  • The images on the front page of the demo site are the featured images. You can set featured images to your posts by following the instructions in this support guide: https://en.support.wordpress.com/featured-images/

Once you set the featured images to your posts, your site too will display the images on the front page.

Give it a try and let me know how it goes.

Also, every theme will have a theme support document which you can access by clicking the name of the theme in Theme Showcase at https://theme.wordpress.com/

Cubic them support document is at https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/cubic/ in which you can learn more about how to setup Cubic theme.

WordPress is indeed moving to WYSWIG with Customizer etc. But it is still in nascent stage and expect to see more things becoming WYSWIG, going forward :)
