how to add link back to a previous post of mine without receiving email

I have a daily blog. At the end of my blog I attach a link of what I posted one year ago, and what I posted two years ago… I end up getting four emails a day (two different addresses) letting me know there was a ping back… How can I avoid that? Last time I looked it said to only capture after the http://barbarastroud.wordpress.com/xyz as the link, so in the above example I copy over the /xyz – it worked for a while, the emails stopped, but they’ve started again (several months now)… can you help?
