How to add link from my own post?

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi all,

Can you please help me on how to add link from my own post.

Example: I posted ‘A’ this morning, then right now I’m about to post ‘B’, but in the ‘B’ there is something relevant with post ‘A’. How do you do that?

I tried to use the Link tool on the toolbar but I don’t think that’s the way I wanted.

    Many thanks,

    Anastasia

Please paste the exact URL of your blog when asking questions here, or link your nickname to your blog (as explained in the Sticky 8 Things to Know Before Posting). We usually need that to give a relevant answer.

To write a link to a post, first you copy the URL of the post (the address that shows up under the post title in the post editor, or in the address bar of your browser when you click the post title in the blog).

Then, in the visual editor, you write the text you’d like to have as your link, highlight it, click the Link icon, paste the URL in the box that opens, select Target “Open link in a new window”,* click Insert, click Save.

(* This is optional, but it’s better to use it: this way one doesn’t abandon the post when opening a link.)

In the html editor, you use this code:
    TEXT_HERE

Oops! In the hhtml editor, you use this code:
    <a href="URL_HERE" target="_blank">TEXT_HERE</a>

    Hi, thanks for the answer!

Sorry for not pasting my blog URL, here it is http://mizmodern.wordpress.com/ if it’s still needed =)
