How to add links on individual pages?
-
Is anyone aware of how to add links in the sidebar on individual pages, which points to other “internal” pages on the same site, and without having those links appearing on every page? My idea is to develop separate “related links” for each menu section on my site.
I have tried with Link list / blogroller / custom menu but have not managed to find a way to do this. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated…

There are possible work arounds if you have the CSS upgrade but as a rule widgets cannot be changed on a page by page basis. Is there a reason you can’t include the links in the contents of the page itself rather than the sidebar? That is probably the easiest workaround.

My fear is that only top menu links and body copy links are too narrow for enabling driving the users to the appropriate section, especially on key landing pages. But you have a point, and i will try using spaces and sub-headlines in order to facilitate the click process. Thanks Halluke for your feedback.

I would suggest you use Zemanta. Install it in your browser (I use it in Firefox) and put your own blog under Preferences. Then it will pull related links only from your own blog.

What you’re looking for is possible in Fauna and Regulus. In these two themes, the sidebar of a parent page changes to display the links to that page’s child pages.

Thanks for your advice. Not sure though if Zemanta solves my particular challenges. Fauna & Regulus seem to do the trick, but have a look’n feel which do not fit my purposes. Never happy :)

Why not just add links manually to the other internal pages at the bottom of the content on each individual page? Timethief does that on virtually virtually every post at http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/ . You can do the same thing for pages.
