How to add list view to the post with thumbnail image aligned to the left ?

    I want the posts on my home page to be in list view with thumbnail image aligned to the left.

    I am using the generatepress theme which I guess has the default post list layout but the featured image is too large.

    Is there any plugin to help or other methods like custom CSS and editing the PHP code.

    plz, help.
