How to add more menus in the header bar of Twentey Eleven theme

  Hi WordPress,
  My theme seems to be supporting only 1 menu in the header bar. How can I change this as it’s very frustrating to have so much space on the hearer bar and only one menu showing (in my case it’s Home).

  You can easily create a Custom Menu at ‘Appearance’ -> ‘Menus’ in your blog’s dashboard. Please review this guide and follow its instructions.

  Thanks Kardotim, it’s still not working as I still can’t put one more menu in my header bar. It is indicated that my theme only supports 1 menu. To be honest I’m a bit frustrated about why this is not working. It should be made far easier than this to figure out how to set up the menus.

  Howdy,

  It looks like you might be confusing menus with menu items.

  A single menu (you might call it “My Main Menu”) can contain a number of menu items. These menu items might be links to your home page, your about page, your contact page, etc.

  You are correct that I probably confused menu and menu item. I’ve gone through the link and followed it and now spotted the issue. For some reason I can’t see my other menu items when selecting the menus in the Pages window to have them on the menu bar. I’ve looked at the menu items I created and can’t seem to find why some are showing in the pages window for me to tick and some are not.

  What would prevent a menu item that I have created to not appear in the pages window?

  Well, you aren’t actually adding items to your menu, you’re creating 6 menus, each with one item.

  Just stick to 1 menu (1 tab), and add your items to that. Everything but the About page appears to be a custom link.
