How to add multiple images into a post at the same time

    If there’s a simple solution to this, I can’t figure it out.

    I have uploaded over 50+ photos. Is there an easier way to display these in a post without having to attach every single one individually to a specific post then attach the gallery?

    If you upload photos from the “add an image” button on the visual editor while you are editing a post, then they will be automatically become attached to that post.

    If you upload photos to the library, then they won’t be attached to any posts until you add them to a post.

    In the case of you uploading to your library, you can use the bulk edit function of the Library to attach any number of images to a post or page. Once you’ve done that, those images will appear in the gallery of that post or page.
    Go to Media Library
    Make a check mark for the images you want in a specific post
    Click the “bulk actions” drop-down button at the top of the media library
    Choose “attach to a post” (or page)
    Type in the title of the post (or page) in the pop-up box (it is a “search” bar so it would help if you type in the name of the post or page exactly or copy/paste it)
    Select the right post or page.

    I’ve figured out uploading photos while editing a post.

    But when I’m in the library, selecting specific photos and clicking on “bulk actions” do not work because I do not get any other selections (ie. to attach to a post) nor do I get any prompts at all. I’m starting to think that there’s some sort of glitch. I’ve tried logging in and out but there’s no change. Nothing happens when I select “bulk actions”.

    Looks like my only option is to upload them again while I’m in the mode to edit the post so it goes in the gallery.

    OK. It’s resolved. “Attach” link finally prompting me to search for the post.

    You are welcome.

    It is not the easiest way to do it, I think, but that’s how it is set up now. If I weren’t just a volunteer here, I would love to make it simpler…

    I wish they would just adjust the placing of the link to attach the photo to the post. Having it beside every photo is redundant because you have the option of ticking off select photos anyway. Maybe beside the “bulk action” drop down menu? But thanks again!
