How to add new images to existing galleries?

How do I add an image to an existing gallery? A few weeks ago I could do this through the page editing process (I clicked on the gallery and delete or pencil/edit icons appeared.) I can no longer access these editing tools. I have 2 galleries – one is on the “Gallery” page, the other a slideshow in a separate page. I cannot access either one to edit them?

There have been problems with this on and off–especially for Firefox users. For a short term solution, try using a different browser (Chrome seems to work for most people)
