How to add Open Flash Charts (or similar) to free wordpress.com blog
-
Hi,
I have a chart on the landing page of my blog that I have inserted as an image. But I really want the chart to have “hover-over” functionality as you get in Open Flash Charts so that my readers can see the data points when they hover the mouse over the chart. There are many data points and the image that I am currently using cannot display all data points.
Many thanks in advance!
SteveThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

This is what the support documentation states re: Flash > http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/
However in some cases Flash objects can be wmbedded using gigya code. See > http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2010/07/22/gigya-shortcode-3-widgets/ -
The flash file cannot be uploaded here, it will have to be uploaded elsewhere and then the gigya shortcode can probably be used to display it on your blog.

thanks for your help. I am simply using PNG’s now – seems flash not enabled for a very specific reason on wordpress.com and that reason not likely to change any time soon?

I’m sorry but we are Volunteers who answer questions and we don’t have an answer to questions like that one; only Staff do. :)

@houseprices, the gigya shortcode works well for putting flash onto blogs here, but the likelihood of direct flash embeds here is virtually zero since it is a security concern.
