How to add photos in my profile or avatar?

I need to know how I add my photo in my profile so when i answer the comment my photo is displayed there

when you log in at wordpress.com you select one of your blog/blogs and reach your Dashboard, there on the right upper corner where Howdy, username | Turbo | Log Out is written click on your username,
or you can do it from left upper corner where My Account drop down menu appears, select Edit Profile,
once you reached profile page on right top there is a logo of gravatar (depends, if you have/haven’t changed it) click on it a fade window would open under manage in account add your image and then crop it then rate it G is usually recommended

under avatar select gravatat and click save changes
you are all done

proxy like some proxy sites????
i don’t think it would make any difference use mattunnel, kproxy and there are a lot many others too perhaps i don’t know

Yes, the proxy server Zend2, as I live in China. I have followed the steps above, and although I get to the gravatar page, when I go to upload the photo by clicking on ‘crop and finish’ nothing happens, as in nothing at all, and neither does adding a link to a photo online. When I go to upload photos through wordpress, it doesn’t work and says “File does not meet security settings.”
Thanks for the previous advice by the way. Any ideas? -
That is probably because you’re trying to upload an image that is not one of hte approved file types. What type of file is it?

That shouldn’t be a problem. Try doing the Cookie Dance: log out, clear browser cache and cookies, do a full restart. That sometimes clears up these problems.
Also, what browser are you using? PLEASE don’t tell me IE6. If you are, use soemthing else, ANYTHING else.

Back again, cleared the cache etc and no joy I’m afraid. Now I cannot even access the Gravatat page. Any other ideas?

No, sorry that doesn’t work either. We concede, as I have been sitting here on average for 5 hours a day going this way and that just to get up what we have, which is not much. I am tired and sick of this crap, not the good good people here of course, but the frigging Chinese government. Peace, many many thanks and enjoy. We’re out of here.

While logged into wordpress, go to http://en.gravatar.com/ then go to “my account at top left and select “add an image” and then upload your gravatar there. It seems to work more consistently by going to gravatar.com.

we guys should take care of china’s censoring thing, develop and provide chinese people content more freely, this problem seems to have resolved i think, thesacredpath cut the crap and answered it way straighter, its good such sensible support teams are there to bail us out when in troubled waters…
and in china we don’t have situation like, a person was going to commit suicide, was caught by enforcing authorities and then tried and sentenced to death.

Since the gravatar for thebamboosea has not yet changed, it might not have worked, or perhaps they have not tried it yet. It is still unclear if it is a proxy issue, or some sort of blocking that is going on.

Hey, I just read your posts today – TSP and SFN, and it was a proxy issue. We have resolved it now via the new Tor add on for Firefx, which may or may not, depending on who’s listening, work very well or terribly. Thank you very much for your time and all of the people’s here help and time. It is very, very much appreciated. Joy and peace to one and all.
