Hello!
You’re in luck! There happens to be an extension for the Twenty Eleven theme that includes the ability to add a sidebar to each post. You can find it here:
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/twenty-eleven-theme-extensions/
It also adds color customization and other ways to make your blog as flexible as Maria!

The primary feature of that theme is no sidebar on posts when post titles are clicked and they are displayed on their own pages. See here http://href.li/?http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2011/05/04/workings-of-duster/
Twenty Eleven is a responsive width theme. Responsive width means the layout adapts depending on the size of the device being used to view your site. When responsive width themes are viewed on mobiles sidebars appear below the posts in order to provide as much space as possible for reading.
