how to add social media buttons

Hello!!i am now happily using the illustrar theme,would like to know how to hada facebook button and the email on the menu or sidebar.already uploaded them in the media library thanks

Hi there, to add them in the menu, you are going to have to downsize the images you have uploaded. For the menu, you are going to want images that are only about 32px tall. Your images you have uploaded are 225px x 225px and 242px x 208px.
You can add these images to your footer sidebar area by using Image Widgets, or Text Widgets. Here are the relevant links to our support documents on Image and Text widgets.

If you wish to add them to the menu, upload new smaller images to your media library and then add facebook and email links to your menu and we can work from there.

Ok, you need to add your facebook and email links as Custom Links to your main menu as described here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/#adding-custom-links
Also, for the social links that appear at the bottom right in the footer area, in your existing custom menu, unassign (uncheck) the social menu and save. Create a new custom menu for your social links using the Custom Links and then assign that menu to the Social menu location.
