-
Help! I need to make my blog private and do not know how to add subscribers so they can view it. Also, how do i blacklist an email from commenting?
Thanks! The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Well, if you’re going to invite people to read your private blog, you’d be a fool to invite one you didn’t want comments from. But under Settings->Discussion you can put the email in the delete or moderate box and that’ll prevent it from appearing.
If your blog is private, you need to Invite people to read it. The simplest way is from your Dashboard->Users and invite them there. They will need to sign up with WordPress.com

Once you make the blog private at settings > privacy, the page will reload and there will be a location where you can add the wordpress usernames of the people you want to be able to view and comment on your private blog. You can add 35. If you have more then you will have to buy the upgrade.

the problem is that i have the emails of my subscribers but not their user names. also how do i create a password for them to enter the site?
i have a really bad spammer is why i asked about the black listing. i am trying to decide what to do. make the blog private or improve my privacy. that’s why i asked both questions.

What they do is to log into their accounts here and then after you enter their usernames, wordpress knows to let them view your site. You will have to have their usernames. You do not need their passwords, ONLY their usernames.
Email them and get their usernames so that you can add them.

If you put the spammer’s email into the black box, you shouldn’t need to do anything about privacy.
