How to add "Subscribe to my blog" to my home page

  I notice with many sites there is a “Subscribe” tab.
  I have been to plugins and can’t find it.
  I only seen a “Follow” widget.

  Is there a reason I can’t add a “Subscribe” widget to my site?

  As usual, any help would be superb

  There is a Subscribe widget in all wordpress.com blogs like the one listed above.

  I am in Widgets right now and can’t see “Subscribe” or anything close.

  Ah, WordPress strikes again with nomenclature confusion. The Follow Blog widget IS the Subscribe by Email widget, apparently. http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/follow-blog-widget/ Which is silly and unnecessarily confusing. I thought the Follow widget was just for RSS/Wordpress following.

  Maybe Word Press can see this and do something?
