How to add Technorati script
-
My weblog is hosted on wordpress.com, but how do I add the blog script given by technorati on the blog, if I cannot edit the template code?
Thanks in adv

Perhaps someone may have an immediate answer to this, but all you could do is add a link to your technorati profile. JavaScript is not allowed for security reasons, so all you can do is manually add a an image / link to your profile.

Normally one would add it in via a text widget but, as crosswalk states, user-inputted JavaScripts are removed for security concerns as it would be child’s play to lift login cookies with them.

Isn’t the Pingoat button on my blog javascript? I thought it worked the same way the technorati button did…
I’d love to add the technorati button, if only I could find the damn thing on their site. How can the Pingoat button be working dynamically as it is, if it’s not java? And isn’t the Technorati button built along the same lines?
Oh, the blog is http://raincoaster.wordpress.com

First I’ve heard that Pinggoat has a button. Got a link? When I visit pingoat.com, all I see are adverts.
The Technorati Javascript is found on the same page when you edit your information and tags about your blog.

Swear to god, Dr Mike, I can’t find that bloody Technorati button. I’ll try again when I’ve had either more coffee or more gin; one of the two has got to do the trick.
The Pingoat button is for their “What is this blog worth” feature. Check my site for what it looks like. If you go to Pingoat.com you can find it here:
http://www.pingoat.com/goat/blog_worthand they have a regular old button here:

The Blog Worth is just a link with a graphic. You can copy it into a text widget.
If you still can’t find the tech button, let me know and I’ll walk you through it. :)

I’ve got the blogworth one running now (yes, by using a text widget). But it is dynamic somehow, because I’ve gone up ten percent since yesterday! Are they just changing the image on their end?
If the technorati button is javascript, I won’t be able to put it in anyway, so no need to bother walking me through it.

@raincoaster
I have put a technorti favorites button in a text widegt in my sidebar. In case you’d like to do the same the favorites button is not javascript so here’s what it looks like http://coyotes.wordpress.com
and here’s where you get the button from http://technorati.com/account/favbuttons.html -
Thanks! That’s not the button I was thinking of (that links to your technorati rating) but it’s a good one. I’ll add that today.
