how to add text to a picture

    I was wondering if anyone can help me.
    I had wordpress and deleted my blog due to the fact i was having problems trying to figure everything out.
    I want to upload pictures on my page for people to click on to be directed to read my blog. I don’t want it to open another page, i want them to be able to stay on the same page, but just be able to read my blog post from clicking on the picture i upload.

    Any advice will help.
