How to Add Twitter Badge, Not Tweets, to Blog?

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hey everyone,

I’m looking to add a Twitter badge on my blog. I’d like for it to appear above my “archives” section, if possible. I don’t want to use the WordPress twitter widget because I don’t want my actual tweets to appear on my blog, but rather a badge that a visitor can click and access my Twitter page.

Is this possible? And if so, can someone explain exactly how I can do it (how to upload the badge, how to control where I can place it on my site?)? I would like to use this as my twitter badge if possible:

    Thanks in advance!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Thanks for the link, but it only helped so much.

I have the url for the badge that I want to use for Twitter. Now I need to figure out how to link up this photo with my Twitter profile. Can someone explain how to do so using the Text Widget? I have the url for the photo, so I know how to upload it to my Text Widget, but not how I can make it so clicking that photo leads to my twitter feed.

    Thanks.

Easy. The instructions are in the thread tsp posted. If you want an alternate process, just compose the text widget as if it were a new Post, putting the image in, clicking on the image, clicking on the Link button, putting in the link to your twitter page, then when it works the way you want, click over to the HTML tab, copy all that code, and put it in your text widget.
