How to add web link to Username?

    How can I add a web link to my username, when I make a comment on someone else’s wordpress.com site?

    I have gone into my profile settings and added a web address to where it says:
    website:

    I have not tried posting yet to the site, but when I refresh the site, I don’t see my previous posts highlighted with my web link.

    Will my new posts have my name highlighted with my web link, or is there another trick to use to get this to work?

    I know it can be done, because some users have their name highlighted in blue with a web link, while most other users do not have their name highlighted.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Just to be perfectly clear, I DID NOT ADD the last line of the above post, or this one!
    I am not asking about help with MY blog!

    I am asking about posting comments to someone else’s website.
    It is not a blog site either. It is a full-fledged website (.com).

    I would have edited my previous post but did not see an edit button.

    Hi there,

    If you’re using your WordPress.com username to leave comments, then you add a link to your website in your account’s settings page.

    I’ll try to be as clear as I possibly can. :)

    I am not using my WordPress.com username to leave comments.
    I am visiting someone else’s WordPress website and am using a
    username that I registered with at their site.

    That username has nothing at all to do with my WordPress username.

    I have gone into my profile settings at THEIR site, and added a website address where WordPress allows me to.

    Is this the way that my username will be highlighted when I make posts to their site? Or is there another way that I achieve this?

    So far, after I did this, I did not see any of my previous post usernames highlighted blue.

    I wouldn’t call it a blog either. It’s just a straight comment section at a site.

    Ok, then you’re commenting on a self-hosted WordPress.org site, which we really can’t help with here.

    To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/

    WordPress.org has complete documentation for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress.org at https://wordpress.org/support/ and support at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
