Please bookmark the link for the wordpress.com support socumentation. You can use the searchbox their and get answers to your questions far more qwuickly than posting to the forum and waiting for volunteers to do this for you. This is the support documentation link http://en.support.wordpress.com/This link will take you to a page with the instructions for all widgets. http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/using-widgets/
All wordpress.com users have the same access to widgets. No one has been given a special number of widgets.

I’m in the same boat. My blog has the default widgets that it came with when I signed up. Yesterday, I tried to add more widgets by dragging them to the right on the Widgets page but it would only allow me to drag two widgets to the right, no more. I was confused and frustrated and just quit the exercise but if anyone knows what I and the O.P. are doing wrong I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks in advance.

I you are having trouble dragging and dropping widgets into your sidebar, try this.
On your widgets page open “screen options” on the top right side of your screen.
Choose “Enable accessibility modeDisable accessibility mode”
“Add” (or “Edit”) will appear next to each widget. Click on one you want and follow the instructions. Each theme comes with a set of pre-selected widgets. When you add the first widget of your choice, the pre-selected widgets disappear. If you want to use them, then just drag them back to the sidebar.
