How to add your wordpress website to Google Blog search and how long is it?

I am newbie here and sorry if this question was added many times. I couldn’t find the detail I need. I talk about Google Blog search, not the normal Google search.
1. If I submit at http://blogsearch.google.com/ping. Is this the fastest way to have a blog listed on Google Blog search (not Google Search)?
I have a blog on Google at http://vietnammotorcycletour.blogspot.com and a new post will show un (page 2) on Google Blog search few hours after I published a new content. But my website (WordPress) at http://www.offroadvietnam.com is not available after two months!
2. How long does it take for a new WordPress site? I read somewhere that sai9d between 4 and 6 weeks. In my case that’s 8 weeks already.
Does any expert out there could spend a few minutes and help me out with this issue? Many thanks in advance.

Note: Even if you do not verify the blog the content will be indexed by search engines so don’t feel panicky about this please.
WordPress.com provides the search engines with site maps. We bloggers do nothing. http://en.support.wordpress.com/sitemaps/
NOTE: It takes weeks for search engines to index content. What attracts search engines is unique content the cannot be found anywhere else on the internet. Thanks timethief. I understand that’s between bloggers and search engine. I have tried to submit and hopefully it helps. Of course, I will keep posting new and unique content.
If anyone has any suggestion, tips or advices just feel free to post on here.
It seems now all I need to do is wait and see.
