How to adjust a (vertical) picture to the front page (not the header picture)?

  • Unknown's avatar

I have the Oxygen theme, the basic version, and all my articles (a part of them, as well as a picture) appear on my front page.

When I use a (too) small picture or a vertical picture, and I want it to appear on the front page to present the article, WordPress doesn’t adjust the size to fit the other pictures… they are smaller and don’t take all the space they should, so my front page pictures are not always the same size, and it doesn’t look good to me. It bothers me.

Is there a way to change that?
I especially need to know how to do with the vertical pictures, because I have been trying to resize it, to increase the number of pixels, and it doesn’t work. There’s still a part of the “picture frame” that’s all white.
And so I’m thinking I will have to choose only horizontal pictures to fill all the space the picture has on the front page…

    Can somebody help me?
Thank you very much for your help.

Was my description of the situation/problem clear enough? English is my second language, so just say so if I didn’t explain well enough, I’ll try to explain it better.
    Thank you!

I will flag this so the moderators can move it to the themes forum. Oxygen is one of the trickier themes to work with.

In the meantime, you can look around the tag https://en.forums.wordpress.com/tags/oxygen to see if anyone else has had and solved this issue.

I just did, but didn’t find anything so far… I’ll go and check again later.
    Thank you again!
