How to adjust logo size?
-
Hello everyone!
I have been using the maywood theme for the last 10 months. I had made a logo using MS Word and uploaded a screenshot of it. Not the best solution!
I have now replicated the logo (and improved it slightly) in Adobe Illustrator. Since WordPress does not allow for an upload in .ai format, I saved it as a .png.
Unfortunately the new logo is displayed in a massive scale, as if it was huge. In the PNG file it is not.The maywood theme does not allow to adjust the logo size with a slider since it should be pegged to 60px in height.
In the case of my new logo, it simply isn’t!How can I solve this?
Thank you so very much!

Hi Carlo! There are a few ways to approach this:
– Upload a smaller logo
– Use the Crop tool (most themes will ask for this)
– Use some CSS to manage the logo size:
.site-logo { width: 500px; margin: auto; }You would paste that under Customize > CSS. If you want it to align to the left instead, you can take out the
margin: auto;line. -
Also! I did want to add, you’re more than welcome to reach out to support here:

Hi supernovia!
Thank you so much for your prompt answer!
– I had tried to upload a smaller logo, more than once. Unfortunately it seemed to stay overly big, as if it was compensating for the high resolution of the PNGs I was uploading.
– The crop tool I tried as well, it would throw an error or make my logo blurred and fuzzy.
– Your CSS… magic! It worked perfectly, I am stuffed! I tried CSS, but could not come up with “.site-logo”… Pure incompetence on my side, I guess!
Thank you so much, and I will keep in mind that I can contact support directly… I did not know that either.
