How to Allow Comments in Reader

Good morning,
Blogs I follow allow me to comment on them in Reader. How do I allow this for my blog? Here is an example of someone I follow and can comment: https://wordpress.com/read/feeds/59561224/posts/1584192673Thank you,

Hi there,
Since your site is a self-hosted version of WordPress (WordPress.org), you won’t be able to do that for now. This a reply from Staff about this:
Hi there,
Reader Comments and Reader Likes currently only work for WordPress.com sites. For Jetpack sites like yours, readers will need to click through to your site to comment. We’re looking at the possibility of adding this in the Reader for Jetpack sites in future, but at the moment it’s not possible.
And this is the link to the thread in the forum:

Hope this helps!

Thank you! I wonder if I switch from Jetpack to some other plugin if that would allow comments? If so, do you have a recommendation for a different or several plugin(s)?

Hi again!
As @kokkieh said in the reply I posted above “Reader Comments and Reader Likes currently only work for WordPress.com sites”, and since your site is a self-hosted WordPress.org, no third-party plugin will allow that (the Reader is a WordPress.com product).
For information on the differences between WordPress.org and WordPress.com, check this support page here:
For WordPress.org support, you can visit:

You can find all the documentation for WordPress.org (lessons, troubleshooting, etc.) here:

Also if you will need Jetpack support in the future you can ask directly here:
Cheers!
