How to allow Contributor to create post

Hi there, I am creating a discussion board/forum on my post but I want public and contributor to be able to create/start a post without me having to create the topic for them. How do I do that?

    Hi there:

To allow people to create/publish posts on your site, you need to add them to your site’s user list. You can read about how to do this and the different user roles and capabilities are here:

    https://wordpress.com/support/user-roles/

If you want them to be able to create and publish posts without your input, you would want to set them as an Author role. If you want them to create posts, but you control publishing them, you would want to add them as a contributor.

I strongly discourage you from adding anyone as an Administrator as you wouldn’t want to lose control or ownership of your site.

Also, there’s no functionality for someone who has not been invited to your site to create and publish posts, so you’ll need to add them to your site to allow post creation.

    I hope that clarifies things!
