How to amend homepage :(

  For my theme, how can you change it so that you can only display a certain amount of posts in your home page? I use stickies too and I only want 20 posts to be posted thats it

  Go to > Dashboard > Settings > Reading
  http://fromyyzandbeyond.com/wp-admin/options-reading.php
  Blog pages show at most _ posts
  “save changes”

  Thank you for helping me! I was hoping to only have this effective on my homepage. When I change the number of posts that way, it is carried throughout my other pages too

  That’s right and that’s the way it is and the way it is cannot be changed.

  There is a workaround depending on how motivated you are to have exactly 20 posts listed. You could use a Display Posts Shortcode and set yourself up with a Static “Home” Page (Front Page). The caveat is that you are limited to certain arguments for the Display Posts Shortcode AND the first 20 posts on your Posts Page will be duplicated with your static, front page listing.

  Ultimately, you would have to experiment to see if the results are something you could live with for your site.
