How to apply google adsense to my site?

I have applied the google adsense code provided to me in my text widget, yet the only thing that shows up is this –> (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); . I’am not sure what I am doing wrong. I purchased the MH magazine theme and I’m wondering if there may be an issue with this theme, which may be causing google ad to apply properly on my site.

Outside advertising, like Google AdSense, is not allowed on WordPress.com. We scrape all adsense code, not just from the MH magazine theme. For full details, please see:

We do have an advertising program called WordAds, which you can read more about here:

    WordAds

If you require other advertising, you might be interested in a self-hosted (WordPress.org) installation. There are no restrictions on advertising if you setup a self-hosted WordPress.org blog instead of a WordPress.com blog, but there are some added responsibilities. Please see this link to learn about the differences:

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

We have hosting recommendations at the following link if you are interested:

Thank you for your reply. I have submitted an application to wordads, I guess I’am just waiting for a reply now. I also have downloaded wordpress, although I see that since I have just recently registered my .wordpress to my own domain name, that I must wait 60 days to transfer it to be able to used by wordpress.org.

You must own the domain for 60 days to transfer it to another registrar, but we can change the domain’s name servers to point to your self-hosted site if you’d like to set it up:

    Change a Domain’s Name Servers

With that method, you’ll still own the domain name here at WordPress.com — but you can get going with a self-hosted site and use Google AdSense, all under that domain name you own.

We also have a Guided Transfer service if you need help moving a blog to self-hosted:
