How to apply my downloaded wp-theme?

can you help me how i can upload my downloaded theme?
    i saw from the instructions
    1. Extract the files from the archive, preserving the directory structure.
    2. Using an FTP client to access your host web server, create a directory to contain
your theme in the wp-content/themes directory provided by WordPress
    (ie wp-content/themes/mandigo).
    3. Upload the theme files to the new directory on your host server.
    4. Log in to the WordPress Administration Panels.
    5. Select the Presentation subpanel and click on the Mandigo screenshot.

but i don’t have an FTP account or something…
can you help me how can i uppload my theme manually?

The process you describe is relevant to WordPress.org, not to WordPress.com. Here at WordPress.com, we cannot upload themes. We select from the range of themes made available by site admin.
If you want to upload and use a WordPress theme, you need to find hosting somewhere other than WordPress.com

Can someone convert this to plain english for those of us that are reading the instructions as blah, blah, blah? They make no sense to me and I too am trying to upload my WP theme I downloaded from WP theme viewer. How do I get an FTP client? (whatever that is). Thanks for any help :)

@3kids2jobs1dog: If you have a blog at WordPress.com, you can’t upload a custom theme. It’s as simple as that. You’ve got to chose from one of the pre existing themes as under

    Dashboard > Presentation.
