How to assign a category to a post

    Hi.

    I seem to recall that it used to be a simple matter to assign a category to a post when writing it – there were check boxes alongside the text box, to select from one’s existing categories.

    All I can see now is the ‘Tags and Categories’ drop-down menu to the left of the screen, where I can see an empty box into which I can type a category name. But that seems cumbersome and open to errors.

    Am I missing something?

    I’d also like to have a live chat with Support about this. I’ve had live chats before, but can’t see how to access them now. I thought I was doing that now, but have just noticed that it’s going to be a post to a public forum rather than an intro to chat.
