Sign up a large group of people, and interactive themes are two different questions not duplicates.
I’m finding WordPress very frustrating and thinking Yahoo Groups is probably more hospitable and a better venue for us.

I’m sorry, but I did address the issue of interactive themes in the other thread. Posting duplicate questions, or changing the subject in a thread is confusing for us (volunteers): one person answers, then in another place another answers—best to have a conversation in one thread.
As I said in the other thread: P-2 is a theme on WordPress which many people often use for group blogs.
As timethief (another volunteer) also explained:
P – 2
A group blog theme for short update messages, inspired by Twitter. Featuring: Hassle-free posting from the front page. Perfect for group blogging, or as a liveblog theme. Dynamic page updates. Threaded comment display on the front page. In-line editing for posts and comments. Live tag suggestion based on previously used tags. A show/hide feature for comments, to keep things tidy. Real-time notifications when a new comment or update is posted. Super-handy keyboard shortcuts. Helvetica Neue for you modern font lovers.Tags: blue, two-columns, fixed-width, rtl-language-support, right-sidebar, white, light, front-page-post-form
I suspect that if I tried using Yahoo Groups, I would feel frustrated because it would be new and unfamiliar to me; learning a different system can be frustrating. If you do decide to use Yahoo Groups, then it might well be the best fit for your needs.
