How to avoid spam in comments?

    I have done everything possible to avoid spam in my comments but in the past couple of days I have recieved about ten spam comments each day, which is out of the ordinary. I thought I should make you aware of this. The comments are not “link spam.” They are usually coherently written comments that have nothing to do the blog that they are commenting on and the source just seems to come from Facebook. I’m not sure what to do about this and would appreciate some assistance.

    Hi there,

    I’m sorry this is happening! We’ve seen a few, isolated incidents of users having comments sent from Facebook that are legitimate comments but for the wrong blog. In these cases, the problem seems to resolve on it’s own, and it’s ok to spam these comments.

    Again, I apologize – we work with Facebook to make sure no lines get crossed, but we obviously have a lot of shared users and something these little glitches arise.
