How to backup an inactive website

  I recently dissolved my business and my website is hidden from the public. I want to keep the website for possible future use but don’t want to pay the renewal fee to keep it active. What is the easiest, cheapest way to keep my website indefinitely?

  You can export your website using the information here: https://wordpress.com/support/export/

  When you are ready to start a new WordPress site, you can import the Site Files.

  As far as your domain. You will want to keep up with payments on that or it can be released.

  You can park the domain if you want to use it later, still must be paid.

  Or you can delete the domain – please note, if the domain is released. Anyone can purchase it after the deletion period.
