How to be rid of the permanent line over the page tabs in the Vigilance theme?
-
I am annoyed by the constant link line that remains above the page names. Once upon a time, when I had only the ‘Home’ page link, I was able to somehow fix this, but then when I added a second page link, the line reappeared. Most Vigilance blogs I see suffer this same condition, but I have seen one or two without this malady, and without any signs of CSS. So, anyone know the trick?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Why am I told to enter my blog url in the ‘post question’ form, when it’s not shown along with my question? My blog is rigidmorality.com

You received an answer to the same question 3 months ago, why are you posting it yet again?
Moreover, you have yet to post the link to the blog in question. Why is that?

This is not a link to your blog > rigidmorality.com
This is a link to your blog > http://rigidmorality.com/

Only Staff can see the URL you entered into the ‘post question’ form. Staff monitor forum threads on this peer support forum where Volunteers ie. your fellow bloggers who cannot see what you typed into the ‘post question’ form answer the questions.

You are correct to point out that I asked, and then received an answer to the question over three months ago. Unfortunately, the answer did not solve the issue, as you may have noticed. Thanks for the tip on what does, and does not qualify as a link to my blog.

Thanks for the tip, but that issue dealt with simultaneous pages having constant hover lines, I don’t even want one! As you’ll notice here: http://thethemefoundry.com/vigilance/, it is an intended feature/design flaw.

To remove that line, you need to have the paid CSS upgrade and some experience editing CSS. The theme designer included that line as an aid for visitors so that they can, at a glance, tell what page they are currently viewing.

BUT – I was able to rid myself of the line before, when I had only the ‘Home’ link…upon adding the second page link, the line reappeared. I am not 100% sure what I did to get rid of it in the first place….
FYI this post deals with getting rid of the Home link entirely with CSS:

There is no need for the line above the home page link when you have only one page. That is the only one available – accept for the blog generated archives, categories/tags pages and the single post pages which aren’t normal pages.

I agree there is no need for it…but the problem persists even with just one teensey weensey page! (‘Home’, which is not a page in the sense we are talking about anyway)…at any rate, I set the link color to WHITE under ‘Vigilance Options’ , and got rid of my other page…which took care of the immediate problem… http://rigidmorality.com
