How to become a white-listed widget

  Is there a formal process for creating a widget this is allowed on WordPress.com blogs? I know that Flickr, Box.net, Sonific, etc. have them; is there a QA process to be included on that list? I won’t go into too much detail here, but a number of WordPress bloggers have requested a widget that my company is developing we’re trying to accommodate them. Thanks very much.
