How to block annoying ad

    Hi there. I was attempting to view my blog from my phone and a very annoying pop-up (happy.luckstarclub.com) came up every single time with a ‘Congratulations! You have are qualified to receive a Walmart gift card’ survey came up. I could not hit the back button and was unable to actually get to my website for more than 2 seconds. Is there a way to block this spam/advertiser?

    Hi there,

    You can’t block this advertiser yourself unfortunately, but WordPress.com does try to remove such adverts, as they’re definitely not intentional. Is it possible to provide any of the following?

    -The exact device and browser used
    -The exact URL which the advert redirected to
    -A screenshot of the advert
    -Your IP address (please do not post that in a public forum, you can upload it to your Media Library where only staff will see it, as I’ve tagged them)

    Thanks folks. I’ve filed a report, but we do need more information if we can get it.

    Also, @redthreadbroken, if there’s any way for you to click “report this ad” that would be most useful. Can you confirm whether that’s an option on the screen?
